On January 9, 2015, Lauren Garvey won summary judgment dismissing the plaintiff’s claims and all cross-claims of the co-defendants against our client, Kent Plaza Realty Corp., in Ji v. City of New York, Index No. 501/2013. Ms. Garvey successfully argued that our client owed no duty to the plaintiff, who claimed that her bicycle struck a grate on a sidewalk causing her to sustain a comminuted fracture of the clavicle. Notably, Mr. Garvey won summary judgment prior to any depositions being held in the case.
